On the Issue of Ish & Steve...

The United States of America is a foreign power on which we heavily rely, and which contributes in no small way to the quality of life enjoyed by the people of Trinidad & Tobago.

They are the number one destination for our goods and services, and our relationship, built over the years and observed by all Administrations, has included the respect of treaties between both countries.

We do not need to run afoul of our greatest ally in the world to protect two UNC financiers who have been exposed to be corrupt and deceivers of the people, and who have abused position and access in exchange for personal enrichment (despite what certain biased and corrupt members of the media would have you believe), and despite the dregs of legal trickery still being employed to prevent them appearing in a jurisdiction that has successfully prosecuted their allies and accomplices in this scheme.

We the people of Trinidad & Tobago will pay a heavy price if we allow Mr. Anand Ramlogan to drag the Attorney General's Office into disrepute by appearing complicit in frustrating Justice to the benefit of two men, whose families appear to have a familiar or material interest in the political Party that appointed him to the job.

We call on the Attorney General, Mr. Anand Ramlogan to resist the entreaties to do otherwise and to act in the best interest of the people of Trinidad & Tobago and extradite Ishwar Galbabransingh and Steve Ferguson to answer for their crimes against the people of the United States.

Failing which, we call on the Prime Minister to remove Mr. Ramlogan immediately and replace him with someone more able to do the job.

We ask Messrs Winston Dookeran and Prakash Ramadar to intervene on behalf of the people of both countries and to bring integrity to bear on this matter so that a favorable outcome may be obtained in the interest of Justice and for the people of both great nations.
