Trini To De Bone.... (The Unofficial Song of a People)

- Welcome welcome one and all to the land of fete, Trini to the bone, Trini to the bone...

That line defines us and commands us; it unites us and it celebrates us, and as has been demonstrated time and again as the gift in his craft, Mr. Rudder has a unique ability to call us out by name.

- When they come to bacchanal well, they can't beat we yet....

We are a hospitable, friendly and welcoming people, ever smiling and resilient in the face of good times and bad.

- From Couva to Signal Hill, Arima to Charlotteville; Matelot down to Port of Spain we play ah mas sun or rain.

Inventive, innovative and stubborn people, we are committed to surviving come what may and doing it with class; whether we win or lose, everything is a fete anyway.

- We blessed with a spirit fiery, some people say God is a Trini, paradise on earth convincingly, all in all a true Democracy...

Despite the best intentions of some with only trickery in their hearts.

- There's no place like home as people say, though some have to leave to make their way, in your hearts remember your destiny, to come back home and big up the country...

My heart breaks for my brothers and sisters abroad; those who had to leave to find a way, we are working to fix it so you will no longer have to roam.

- As crazy as we might seem to be, we still fight to be a family, Indian, African or a Chinee, Syrian, French Creole or Portugee...

Indian food, creole food, chinee food; together we bleed green callaloo blood, roti is our expression and liming is our culture; pan, tassa, chutney, calypso - these are gifts from a plethora of benevolent Gods and regardless of beliefs, tribes or backgrounds, how we vote is not how we party  - our country is blessed, our people are strong, and our future is not yet written.

Sweet, sweet T&T, Lord how ah love up mih country

Sweet, sweet T&T, no place in this world I'd rather be...
