On a Lighter Note...(or Why are There Guns in My Headline?)

I have heard that not everything that counts can be counted, and not everything that is counted counts.

It is a symptom of our affliction that we automatically begin to dress the PNM in better clothes because the People's Partnership is failing. Like an entire nation wrestling with something like battered wife syndrome, we go from abusive relationship to abusive relationship and back again without seeing our culpability in the whole sordid affair.

What madness is this?

Didn't we just go through that same exercise re-dressing Suruj, Roodal and Tim,  getting them to look presentable enough so as to allow them to come inside and eat off the good china?

And now that they're inside and thrashing the place, do we remember why we left them in the first place?

Why can't we leave both of these dysfunctional, destructive relationships behind and look for someone new to give our attention to?

Seriously, out of one point three million people (at least) I cannot believe that this odd eighty people are the best of us. There has to be something wrong, something treatable with medication or shock therapy or something, anything to get us off the addiction of these two self defeating, self serving and selfish bandwagons to nowhere.

Who has developed us, who?

At what cost to us as a people?

There are many who cant read this, who are are too lazy to pierce the membrane of their belief for fear that what will be exposed will crumble all they've ever known, so they stay trapped in a cycle that does not serve them or even bring them closer to salvation.

They've squandered free will for a bit part in a run on play of two acts and are willingly spending their life supporting this tragedy just to have nothing to pass on to their children.

It is a shame and a disgrace that ultimately being successful in this country is becoming well off enough to leave it.

As it stands neither Dr. Rowley nor Mrs. Bissessar appear to have even a clue much less a plan for the nation and its collection of souls, and it appears that the vacuous and divisive politics of race that has served them so well for all this time has aged and matured to the point where it is ready to consume us all.

The coming storm is being brought to you by lazy, self serving, greedy people who never gave a damn about this country in the first place.

To quote Sampson Nanton of CNC3 news -  "Why are there guns in my headline?"

Why indeed.

  1. Phillip yet again you outdid yourself with this one. I always here people saying we chose the lesser of two evils..I say why choose evil altogether! Are we not deserving of the best governance? Wake up sleepers, wake up!
If the two main political parties, have failed us as a people I say we need a new one, with fresh blood and new ideas,no divisive politics or corruption mega tricks! Just a good governance above all!

  2. start a party phillip since you are dissatisfied with the two options, the only alternative is to create another. You will have my vote, although I am almost certain there will be tons of bloggers waiting to criticise your every move.
