Justice for Children 2012

Honorable Minister of Sport
Mr. Anil Roberts

Re: The Justice for Children March

March 9th 2012

Further to our telephone conversation today, I would like to formally request your assistance with the matter at caption in whichever way your good Office can oblige.

Every year the Jericho Project, led by our esteemed patrons and in conjunction with many other NGO's, non profit and other organizations conducts a march in the name of the at risk children and in memory of those who have met their untimely and unfortunate demise due to abuse and neglect to highlight this deplorable blight to the media and the wider community. This year in keeping with the global theme of 'the invisible children,' we and our partners intend to solicit a symbolic one hundred thousand signatures on a petition calling on both Houses of Parliament, all government and state bodies and all officials in whose names such a request could be drafted to honor the terms and guidelines as outlined by the United Nations Charter as to the rights to a child to which this country is a signatory.

We would like your assistance in the use of the grounds, car-park or whatever facilities at the national Stadium could be made available for us to start and end the march. This year we would like to begin at the Stadium, march up to Mucurapo Road, proceed west to the Foreshore traffic lights and then head East along the Audrey Jeffers Highway back to the stadium for our closing function. We would need to gather there from as early as seven a.m. On the morning of April 22nd and would be completed and out of there by one p.m. Of the same day. We do not require much set up or break down time as we use the minimum of resources for this annual event.

Looking forward to your usual support and might I also use this opportunity to invite you and your entire Ministry and staff to march with us in this most worthwhile of endeavors to raise the level of the discussion and to offer protection to the weakest among us.

Very best regards,

Phillip Edward Alexander
Chairman
