They say no matter how much lipstick you put on a pig, at the end of the exercise it's still a pig.
For all his high sounding prose and multi-syllabic language in the House of Representatives, the PNM Member of Parliament for Diego Martin Central Dr. Amery Browne comes across as nothing more than a play thing in a cheap suit when unscripted. In his latest play on believing himself valid, the erstwhile Dr. Browne led a diatribe on his personal page that encouraged his minions to slander the names of innocent people in society for no good reason other than because he thought that he could. Now Dutch courage is one thing, but dragging the names of the Board of Republic Bank, the family behind the McAl Group or Mr. Arthur Lok Jack and others through the proverbial mud in a public forum could only be the result of gross over estimation of one's own self importance and categorizing them all as either racists, money launderers or drug pushers can be nothing short of a political death wish.
Either he went mad recently or was always mad and did a good job of hiding it, but it seems that in his bid to remain relevant to anything in the national discussion, the gentleman at caption decided that anyone who does not support him nor his agenda becomes (according to him and his minions), a drug pusher, a black hating racist or worse. Now, I am not on first names basis with either Mr. Lok Jack nor Mr. Sabga, but I am sure that they, like all the others who have been so categorized by this political lunatic and his band of lightweight sycophants will not be amused. I for one have referred his latest salvo to my Attorneys with instructions to explore the options of referring the matter to the Integrity Commission and to investigate whether this constitutes misbehavior in Public Office.
The purpose of this document is not to defend, deflect, misdirect or explain any other side, that is for the Courts to decide. The purpose of this is to focus on the vicious broadside for what it is and examine all options available for redress. An example must be made and in this case all who have publicly alleged misbehavior on the part of those named or alluded to should be made to either prove or pay the available price for their actions.
Regardless of the position one holds or the size of one's ego, one cannot take it upon one's self to slander others and defame their characters for one's own self promotion, and I am also calling on the Political Leader of the People's National Movement and the Chairman of that Party to either distance themselves and the PNM from his demonstrated position or endorse these rantings made on all public forums and in other 'secret' PNM slander groups, whose contents have also been made available to us as the Party's position and policy.
I have also provided copies of running discussions where members of his troupe engage in wholesale defamatory and slanderous behavior bordering on sedition against what amounts to the entire Trinidad Syrian and Lebanese communities and have attempted to label them all as criminals or part of some underworld conspiracy. This must not go unchallenged, and as a member of that community also I take great umbrage with this characterization of my family and my people and demand a public apology from Dr. Browne and his list of supporters for crossing the line where national race relations are concerned.
This idea of if you are not for us you are the enemy and can be attacked unprovoked is nothing short of political terrorism and bullying and needs to be resisted and put down before it inspires others to do likewise. We do not need to go down the path of an orchestrated race war to destabilize the country in an attempt to make it appear ungovernable, and the architects of this tomfoolery need to be exposed, berated and silenced.
Obviously the PNM must have decided that they can win an election with little financial support and few votes outside of what they consider their 'core,' otherwise why else would they allow this depravity to continue. Giving the Party the benefit of the doubt, it would seem that Amery Browne is personally hell bent on a masterpiece of wanton destruction on a national scale and is attempting to put the PNM on a posture of 'poor black people' against the world. If this is also the Party's policy then its leadership need to come out and say so; If it is not, then I strongly suggest that they censure this loose cannon before he and his followers go further than the too far he has already traversed, distance themselves from his and their rantings, and see what damage control can be put in place to undo the damage already done.

Have not read what you are speaking about, however respectfully I do not share your views on Dr Browne. If the MP engaged in this type of discussion sir I do humbly think it is time we all sensibly discuss race relations as it pertains to the ethnic and religious make up of our society historically. I am sure this forum may step on the toes of some in society, however this is indeed the perception of the wider society. Therefore, again humbly I do not share your views as it pertains to Dr Browne, and I think indeed if this was discussed in a private forum it was indeed to evoke thought amongst members and certainly people should be able to openly discuss this generational issue and its political and social implications without any one sector of society being personally offended and in that regard in my opinion no apology is necessary. These are my respectful views!
